Matt Kuschan serves as the Controller for Industrial Building Group, LLC, overseeing the day-to-day accounting and financing activities for Industrial Building Group, LLC’s operations. Matt oversees all aspects of accounting and finance including project job cost tracking, monthly report preparation, payment requisition preparations, certificate of insurance tracking and compliance, and implementation of bank financings. 

Matt served in a variety of finance and accounting roles prior to joining Industrial Building Group in 2022. Previously, he held the controller position at Elberon Development Group where he oversaw the day-to-day accounting activities for Elberon’s $500M+ real estate portfolio. Matt oversaw many aspects of the accounting and finance division including construction/development, where Matt managed the 1029 Newark Ave., Elizabeth NJ Freezpak development project, from a finance perspective, through partnership with Industrial Building Group, LLC which included construction loan draws on a $34M State Farm construction loan, job cost tracking, monthly report preparation, and annual coordination with external auditors. 

Prior to Elberon, he held a leading position in the finance department of VF Corporation, responsible for monthly close entries and overseeing new store openings for name brand subsidiaries. Prior to that, Matt held the position of auditor/tax preparer with Demetrious and Company, LLC for over two years. While there, he audited both public and private companies with revenues of +$100m annually and prepared complex tax returns for several high-net-worth individuals. Matt began his career as a Stock Broker for Olympia Capital Markets, LLC in New York City. 

Matt holds a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Montclair University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Monmouth University. He served as a board member for the Gateway Family YMCA and is a member of the NAIOP, Commercial Real Estate Development Association.
